As LGWCDC believes in the proverb “Healthy mind in Healthy Body” so from time to time we organise health camps for children and community members. One such dental camp was organised on 26.10.19. Doctors who are members of the Indian Dental association came and did the dental check up.
In order to empower our SHG members a session was held with them on the importance of saving and opening Bank account in their names. In collaboration with State Bank of India accounts were opened for SHG members.

LGWCDC believes that Self Help Approach (SHA) is the only way to ensure sustainable community development. A session for community members was arranged at Santoshpur on 22.10.19 to aware them about the SHA. The session was facilitated by SHG and CLA members.

Children of our Santoshpur Project area frequently suffer from worms and other illness. To make the parents aware and treat the children of their illness a health screening and de-worming camp was organised in association with Rotary on 27.09.19.
In ICDP Project to ensure sustainable community development SHGs have been formed. In one area there are more than 10 SHGs and all the SHGs have set their economic, social and political goals. Many of the SHGs have the same goal so to ensure that their goals are met 2
On 18.9.19 SHG and CLA members of Integrated Community Development Project in Santoshpur under Maheshtala Municipality, Budge Budge prepared low cost nutritious food and distributed to children of the locality as part of observing Nutrition Week.
