Seed distribution for promoting Organic Kitchen Garden – Bihar
Seed distribution activities were carried out in Sakraicha Village and Kura Nawada Village in Bihar among youths and their parents under the Youths in Social Action budget. The initiative aimed to encourage the development of organic kitchen gardens and promote healthy, sustainable food practices at the household level.

Children’s Sports
A Children’s Sports event was organised by the ICDP and CHDP teams at Padirhati Dinesh Ground in Santoshpur, Kolkata. A total of 113 children participated enthusiastically in various games and activities.
Prizes were awarded to the winners, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions, along with participation prizes

Strengthening Self Help Group members
A strengthening training for Self-Help Group (SHG) members was conducted at Manashi Hall, jointly organized by the ICDP and HCDI teams. A total of 40 SHG members participated in the session, which focused on enhancing communication and leadership skills.

Handicraft Display
On 18th January 2026, LGWCDC was invited to display their handicraft items at Open Door 2.0 – Festival of Inclusivity- at Lake Road, organized by Samaj Sebi Sangha, Noble Mission, Few Rotary Clubs, Interact Club and Innerwheel Club.

Youths of LGWCDC participated in Dengue campaign awareness rally, organized by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation at Esplanade on 16th January 2026.

Gender Training
A Gender Training was organized for Community Youths at Manasi Hall, Satoshpur. 104 youths from project working area of 16 Bigha, Podirhati, Kankhuli, Aynalpara participated in the training. Youths vicaluzed their thoughts on gender discrimination being prevalent in their communities and pledged to bring about gender equality in their homes

Incense Stick Making
20 Federation Members underwent a 5 day Incense Stick making training from floral powder as part of Federation Sustainability Plan under ICDP Project supported by KNH Germany. The training was facilitated by Pragati Research and Training Institute.

Plastic Free Ganga Sagar Mela Campaign at Babu Ghat
*Plastic-Free Ganga Sagar Mela Campaign | Babu Ghat*
During the day-long Plastic-Free Ganga Sagar Mela campaign at Babu Ghat, youth volunteers raised awareness against single-use plastic to protect Ganga Sagar Island, the river Ganga, and ocean life.
Through poster displays, public announcements (miking) and direct interaction with pilgrims, youths promoted responsible behaviour.

On 14th January 2026, 18 community members were assisted to Alipore Post office for Aadhaar related services. Following services were done –
12 biometric updates,
2 new Adhaar enrollment,
2 phone number link with Adhaar Card,
1 new enrollment in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana
