World Enviroment Day

World Environment Day was observed in Raidiha, Jharkhand through an awareness session jointly organized by LGWCDC, Vikas Sambad Samiti and TdH-BMZ.The main aim of this event was to ensure joint respinsibility of protecting the environment by Youths and Community Members alike. The event started with an awareness rally where 82 adolescent boys and girls from 13 villages of Raidihi Block participated enthusiastically. The main theme of the rally was raising awareness on healthy environment, hollistic welfare and rights of children and youths. After the Rally the Youths handed over a  letter to the officials of the Block wherein they appealed for proper garbage disposal and plastic free environment in the whole block. The District magistrate assured the youths that steps would be taken at the earliest in this regard. This was followed by sapling plantation by the Block Officials. All Participants present informed about the challenges they face in protecting the evironment and also took an oath to protect and conserve the environment actively.
