Community Camp

On 03.09.25 , the Postal Department of South Kolkata Division facilitated an Aadhaar camp, which was organized by LGWCDC at the Santoshpur field office. Services provided in the camp included Aadhaar card linking with phone numbers, new Aadhaar enrolment for children aged 0–5 years, enrolment under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and registration in other Post Office schemes.
A total of 156 community members participated. Among them, 41 children applied for new Aadhaar enrolment, out of which 6 could not be completed due to document issues. Aadhaar-phone linking was done for 45 members, with 2 failures. Additionally, 17 enrolments were completed under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and 9 under other schemes such as PPF, RD, and Savings. However, 17 members had to return without service due to a server issue towards the end of the program.
Considering the overwhelming response, the Post Master of South Kolkata Division decided to organize another camp on 12th September, giving priority to the 17 members who were unable to complete their work in today’s camp.
