Review and Reflection Meeting – Tuberculosis Health Action Learning Initiative

Tuberculosis Health Action Learning Initiative (THALI) is a four-year project (2016-2020), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a consortium of partners- World Health Partners (WHP), Child In Need Institute (CINI) and John Snow India (JSI). In collaboration with the Government of West Bengal, THALI aims to improve TB prevention and control across 6 districts of West Bengal - North 24 Parganas, Hooghly, Howrah, East Medinipur, South 24 Parganas and Kolkata.

The one-day workshop aimed at reflecting and sharing critical learnings from the project, analyzing challenges faced on ground and exploring ways to jointly plan and collaborate for future scalability. THALI at the end of the project would like to consolidate learnings and innovative practices and share these with RNTCP officials/ State government for future strategic planning The Workshop was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Barun Santra, State Programme Officer (SPO)-State TB Cell and other dignitaries including Dr. Bipra Bishnu Consultant WHO, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Das City TB Officer (CTO), KMC-RNTCP and Dr. Suparna Chattopadhyay, DTO Howrah. THALI network NGOs namely Tiljala Shed, Nari-O-Sishu Kalyan Kendra, SNP (+), Hijli Inspiration, Harijan Sevak Sangh (HSS) Bengal, Lake Garden Women and Children Development Centre, Right Track, New Light, Development Action Society and Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee (DMSC) participated within the event.
